With all the magnificent food that's produced on our own doorstep, we make a pretty good job of feeding ourselves in the Isle of Man. Flour, fish, bread, pork, herbs, vegetables, eggs, beef, lamb, honey, milk, cheese, butter, even ice cream. It all originates from local producers.
The Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival will be a celebration of the very best of Manx produce. The festival is taking place on the 26th and 27th September and the heart of the festival will be in the Villa Marina gardens. The Manx Food Live Theatre will feature cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, exhibitor marquees, farmers’ market and more.
Fringe events will also take place at other Island locations. On Saturday the 'Food Festival Goes South' to Castle Rushen, a medieval castle on the harbour in Castletown. On Sunday the 'Food Festival Goes North' to the victorian era Grove Museum in Ramsey.
